General Executive Council for Pastors

Cathedral Consulting Group’s General Executive Counsel for Pastors was inspired by a love for Christian leadership and a desire to keep them mentally and spiritually healthy. The singular goal of this program is to reduce the pastor’s stress. Stress is usually caused by feeling a lack of control, and a lack of control comes from a lack of necessary skills or knowledge in an area of key responsibility. General Executive Counsel is designed to reduce stress for pastors.

General Executive Counsel for Pastors is unlike most continuing education opportunities for pastors. This monthly 2-hour meeting takes place in the pastor’s office or home, deals with the pastor’s real time issues, and focuses on key areas of management, primarily:
Reading, understanding and managing from financial statements.
Dealing effectively with personnel issues.
Increasing revenue and controlling expenses.
Thus, General Executive Counsel for Pastors focuses on building the Pastor’s knowledge base and capacity to address the issues raised by church leadership or advisory committees. All of these skills are developed within the context of creating an organizational culture that empowers the entire church, but starts with and emanates from the pastor’s own leadership style and desired outcomes.
